Thrikkannad shiva temple

Temple stands in front of Arabic Ocean facing to the west. This Temple stands head high, attracting everybody’s attention on the side of the national highway between Kanhangad and Kasargod. In Malabar, this is the only Siva Temple facing to the west. The Gods and the believers of each Temple will join in the procession of the Thrikkanad Temple festival from their places. Then together they will go through the seashore as a big procession. Among them The Velichappadu of Palakkunnu Temple will be accompanying. Everybody will enter in to the Temple. Expect the Velichappadu. It is said that, like a watchman the Velichappadu have to stand near the main steps is connected with some myths. This temple is famous for Karkitaka Vavu Bali.

Malik Ibn Denaar Mosque located in Thalangara village of Kasaragod. It is considered as one of the oldest mosques built during the 8th century in Kerala.
